She raised an eyebrow at Jeremy. She really hadn't expected him to suddenly act as if his world was going to end. She just listened and sighed. "Papa could maul you if he really wanted to, yes. But Papa's not that sort of man. He gives people the benefit of the doubt. That's why he didn't catch my aunt sooner. The only time he came close to physical violence was with my aunt so a few chaste kisses won't mean a thing, just as long as you aren't fucking me... and somehow that does not seem to be an issue. Besides, I don't tell my Papa everything... But Ashley does." She tapped her chin thoughtfully, apparently unaware that such swearing was deemed very improper in America... not that that word was thought of well in England either. Ashley had said something about meeting a 'handsome young man' who he spoke with. "You didn't tell Ashley we kissed... did you?" She shook her head. "Never mind, it doesn't matter. I don't want to know what you tell Ashley."

She swore softly as she pulled her hair up. "I would kill for a pin," she mumbled. "If you really don't want to meet Papa, that's fine. But there is a chance that Papa could meet you. He comes here once in a while to see me and Ashley... and to make sure the large amounts of money he donates is put to good use. Mostly I think it's to make sure that I'm being taught well." She leaned against the tree, allowing her weight against the solid object to hold her hair up so her hands could fiddle with the hem of her shirt.

"I'm not one for forcing people to do anything. It would be quite pointless." She yawned, feeling much more comfortable with her hair off of her slim neck. The wind brushed across it's surface, cooling her a bit. "I should get my hair cut... It really is a bother when I forget hair ties." She was mostly speaking to herself. She was off in her own little world. A place she visited often, even in the company of other people.

Such language she had used. Alright, so Jeremy wasn’t exactly an angel when it came to the things that came off of his tongue but it was not as though he had really expected Evie to say something even remotely close to that. That word being ‘fucking,’ of course. But, if he really did take a moment to think about it, he could see her saying it. It was Evie SinClair, after all. So anything that came out of her mouth should not have been surprising by now even though most of it was. She always found some way to catch him off guard with her words. Probably because most people would never talk to him like she talked to him. She talked to everyone like that though. In a not so pleasant yet proper way of speaking. It really did not mix all that well in Jeremy’s opinion but he was a bit fonder of the combination than he had ever been before. She was always harsh with her words. Definitely not the type to hold back whatever it was she wanted to say.

Like Jeremy really would have gone and told Ashley something like that. Wait a second, had he told Ashley something like that or even close to that? He honestly could not recall the conversation with the younger blond all that well and couldn’t really say why he had even been talking to him. Maybe they had just passed by? Ah, right, he hadn’t been able to sleep and had really just been lounging around when the other SinClair had just happened to pop in. Unfortunately, Jeremy still couldn’t remember anything that they had talked about. He must have been too tired at the time to remember any of it. All he recalled was the person and thinking that he was so much different than Evie was. Not to mention the few things that the other teenager had shared with him about Evie. Like her fear of dogs and the dark. And how she didn’t like water, or something. Jeremy probably remembered those things simply because he knew that he could use them against poor Evie one day. Maybe he would toss her in a pool or something. No, he wouldn’t want her to drown herself. Or, actually, him to drown her. He doubted that would go down very well with her daddy dearest. He would surely hate Jeremy then and most likely attack him with goodness knew what. That was if he really loved Evie as much as Evie made it sound.

So maybe meeting someone like her dad wouldn’t be all that bad but Jeremy just didn’t see the point in it. Why would he ever have to meet her dad? It wasn’t like he had anything that could make a difference in Jeremy’s life. Not now anyway. And he probably would never have anything that would make Jeremy want to meet him or make him slightly interested. That may have been a little shallow but it wasn’t like people, specifically teenagers, ever offered to introduce you to their parents. Then again, Evie was not like other teenagers that Jeremy knew. She was definitely different so he supposed that this was just another one of her different quirks. And she thought that he was weird. Boy, was she off. She was obviously the strange one here. At least, Jeremy didn’t think that he was all that weird. In his opinion, he was quite normal. Evie, on the other hand, was weird. Completely different. She must have known that though.

“Why would you cut it? Just bring a clip with you or something,” he put in nonchalantly as he pulled his knees up toward his body so that he could rest his arms on them. He slouched forward slightly and turned his head to look at her with a rather blank stare painted onto his light features. His dark brows were raised slightly but not as much as they usually were. Only slightly. “I guess giving my opinion would be a waste of time though. It’s not like you ever take my advice anyway. You always seem like you like doing the opposite of what I say. So…”

Jeremy suddenly took on a thoughtful look as he leaned in toward his knees to get further from her. This was only to get in a better view of her so that his blue eyes could scan over her quickly and a little carelessly. Then he let his lips fall into a bit of a lopsided position as he continued to carry out his thoughtful expression.

“I guess it would be alright short,” he finally answered as he removed his stare from her. He leaned back again to relax and ran his fingers through his own hair. The thoughtful expression slipped away into something that almost resembled a pout. But that instantly disappeared. Almost as quickly as it had come, in fact. “Less work. Guess mine could use a trim as well. Maybe a chop. Stupid hair.”

Now he was only really mumbling to himself, much like she had been doing a few moments ago. But then he finally decided to brush off the subject and wonder over his hair to look back his way. Brows once again rose as he stared over at her.

“Why would you be worried about what I told Ashley?” he questioned. Then he frowned at her. “I’m sure that he would have already told you everything I’ve said to him already. He likes you for some reason and I doubt it’s just because you’re related. Surprisingly…”

She glared at him when he seemed to be trying to use reverse psychology on her. "It's not going to work, you know. Besides, I'll forget any hair appointment I make anyway. I'll end up painting my way through it. That's why my hair's so long now." She drawled, feeling that this little tidbit of information truly was pointless. Really, what did he care if she couldn't remember appointments? She painted so much or was drawing so often that she just never remembered. "So I won't get it cut." It seemed to be working a bit, but she didn't want to make it seem like that. "There would be no point because I'd forget. I forget dates... my own birthday." she shrugged, something hard to do whilst leaning against a tree.

As for the Ashley 'problem'... "I'm somewhat like Ashley second mother... We've been together since he was born, sort of. I visited him in England when I visited Papa. I protected him from things like caterpillars or other sorts of bugs. As we got older things never really changed. I beat up kids who made fun of him for his name. And when he came out I beat up those who dared make fun of him for his sexuality." A dark, somewhat evil smile adored her lips. "I sent a kid to the hospital at one point. He won't ever be enjoying any sort of physical pleasure any time soon... nor can he ever have children. He has to piss through a tube." The dark expression passed and she seemed normal Evie. "Too bad they couldn't sew it back on though. He was quite well endowed." She yawned, and spoke about that unblushingly.

She would blush at the mention of kisses but could easily speak about some guy's penis with out much care in the world. She was truly a backwards young woman. Not that she much noticed or really cared. "Nearly got sent to jail. Papa pulled a few strings though. No one messed with Ashley after that." A bit of pride hung on her voice. Obviously this tiny, weak look creature was a lot stronger than she appeared. And was much stranger than other people. But then, she was an artist, what did people expect? Van Goh cut off his own ear and sent it to his girlfriend. Evie chopped men's privates off and sent them to the hospital in a baggy.

"But, Ashley doesn't tell me anything if he's got some backwards plan going on in his head. So he's probably planing something that involves both you and me. I only know that you met and you seemed somewhat interested in how to 'get my goat'. So I assume he told you things I'd rather have unsaid to anyone." She clicked her tongue and brushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "So do not think that Ashley is my little spy. He works on his own. He's like a cat. Adoring and vying for attention when he desires it but will slink away and do his own thing when need be." She felt looked toward Jeremy, the action causing her damned hair to fall about her shoulders again. She cursed softly and quickly brushed the locks form her face. She once again turned her chin toward him. She paused, cocked her head, then reached out and brushed her finger just below his eye.

"Eyelash," she smiled, looking somewhat reminiscent. "Make a wish and blow." She held out her finger, indicating to do as she asked.

So now she wouldn’t cut it which was quite interesting. But apparently she wasn’t going to cut it because of his opinion on the matter. She wasn’t going to it get it cut simply because she would not remember to attend the appointment and let the actual cutting take place. Jeremy wasn’t going to take that though. Just to ease that little head of his, he was going to go ahead and think that his opinion did really have something to do with it. He knew that she probably didn’t care one bit about what he thought but that did not mean that he couldn’t think that his opinion really did manage to make a difference. Sadly, he knew that what she was saying really was true. Jeremy knew that Evie was actually quite forgetful. Her artwork always seemed to come before absolutely everything. Everyone and everything. If she saw something she liked then she seemed to immediately want to draw it right then and there. Just like whenever she saw some random guy in the perfect light or something. She always seemed like she wanted to get it done then. He was sure that a habit like that would eventually drive a person insane. It would drive him crazy sooner or later if he was around her more.

There was not a single doubt in his mind that Jeremy had decided that Evie SinClair was sick in her own little way. Apparently, like most girl’s seemed to think, she didn’t know just how important that particular part of the body was. Jeremy would much rather lose one of his fingers than that. He decided on which one would be more painful to both him and his future. It sure as hell wasn’t one of his fingers either.

The way that she talked about such a thing was strange. At least it was in Jeremy’s mind. Mostly because there weren’t a lot of people out there who talked about the private parts of human being so openly. Well, Jeremy didn’t hang around people like that. He had been around people who didn’t mind showing them off apparently since getting passion wasn’t really a problem to a lot of them. But actually talking about it was just awkward. This didn’t apply to absolutely everyone but the ladies, specifically, seemed to keep it to themselves. Apparently things of such nature were just something that only the two people could understand or really have any love for. One must have had to be in love to get any of that.

“That’s just cruel,” he muttered to her while narrowing his vision at her as well. His brow furrowed and he wrinkled his nose to show that he was more disgusted rather than amused by her story. Sure some of it was kind of funny to think about but once you really thought about it the situation really was not all that humorous. Maybe because Jeremy was of the same gender and could understand how horrid it would be. Not to mention how pissed off he would feel. “I don’t think I would go around sharing that with too many people. Nobody is going to want to fuck with you that way. And I mean that in the two senses that I’m sure you can figure out on your own.”

Jeremy flinched a bit when Evie’s hand suddenly came at his face and he felt a finger underneath his eye. After a story like that, what guy wouldn’t end up flinching? She was like a guy’s worst nightmare all of a sudden. Not that Jeremy was afraid of her. She was really the least of his worries. All he thought was that she seemed rather violent for committing such a deed. Never in his life had he beat anyone up or had even come close to it. There had been tons of times that he wanted to just beat the snot out of someone but he never had. Even when he was teased or pushed around. None of those problems were around now though. Jeremy didn’t exactly send off the push-over, shy vibes these days. Those days were over for good and he was going to make perfectly sure of that. He was quite happy where he was. Wasn’t he? For the most part, maybe.

A wish? Since when did people make wishes on something like an eyelash? Was it some kind of strange habit that took place in England? Or was this just some other odd ball trait that Evie had come to carry around with her. Whatever it was, Jeremy wasn’t quite sure if he wanted to comply or just stare up at her like she was completely insane. Either way, he was sure that he was going to give Evie a very strange and very confused look. Making wishes on anything was just weird but an eyelash must have been the strangest. And he didn’t wish on anything in the first place. He hadn’t done something like that in a very long time.

What?” he almost stated rather than asked. For a moment, his eyes attempted to concentrate on her finger but that did not last too long. In no time, he was looking back toward her waiting for some sort of explanation. Then he gave her another frown which faded as he parted his lips slightly to draw in a small breath. Then he gave the smallest, most half-hearted poof of air that he could have ever given. The entire time he made sure to keep on a rather bored expression as he just happened to forget about making any kind of wish. “What the heck does that mean? Since when do you wish on eyelashes? That’s almost as stupid as wishing on a star.”

Evie watched the eyelash fly away. Her deep blue eyes turned to his, her expression quite lazy. She smirked. "As stupid as trusting another person? As falling in love? Those things are just as ridiculous and unpredictable as wishing on anything." She replied blandly and turned her attention back to the world. "I've wished on eyelashes since I was little. My mother taught it to me." She had a wistful, far off look in her eye for a long moment. Her attention was not on anything near her. After a bit she frowned, her thoughts returning to the man whose life she had ruined.

"Men like that shouldn't be aloud to procreate. He was one of those greasy people. They looked fine and dandy, acted the perfect gentlemen but sis unspeakable things behind closed doors. God, I would do it again if he ever dared come anywhere near Ashley." He gaze darkened, her body stiffened and she was wringing the hem of her skirt as if it might pop to life and strangle someone.

It took her a while to actually calm down. When she did she said, "You need not worry. I don't chop off dicks with out provocation. You'd have to make me extremely upset, which I assure you is very hard to do." She allowed her skirt to fall between her fingers. She tried to smooth out the wrinkled she had created but to no avail. So she merely ignored them to stare out at anything really.

Jeremy supposed that Evie was right about that. Trusting in someone and things like love really were stupid in their own way. Especially when you typically didn’t like people and that only made trusting someone even more stupid to you. But, instead of saying anything about it, Jeremy decided that keeping silent would be better than admitting that she was right about it. Mostly because he honestly wasn’t sure how stupid it was to love someone or anything like that. So he couldn’t go and just agree with her. That would mean that he would be lying about it. He also couldn’t just say that he disagreed because he knew that he was iffy on the topic. In other words, he should have just kept his opinion on it to himself instead of sharing it with her. All he had needed to do was blow on his now departed eyelash. That could have ended any of this thought right then and there. Actually, it would probably have never popped up in his mind at all. Maybe that meant he was just a little too comfortable talking to her now. Otherwise he wouldn’t have been debating all of these things in his head right now. Well, he probably would have said something like he just did now to anyone. He just hadn’t really expected that answer back. Evie had once again managed to catch him off of his guard. What was new?

“I couldn’t imagine what you would cut off of him now,” Jeremy murmured as he kept his stare on the blue eyed girl before him. For some reason, he almost wanted to go ahead and smile about that. He doubted that many people, specifically men, would want to smile about anything like that. But maybe it was just because he was amused by Evie’s spunk. Well, not her spunk, but her not so sweet side. Not that either really, it was just something that made him feel something close to pride. Something that would make someone want to say ‘That’s my, Evie’ or something along the lines of that. Something strange like that. “You must really love that kid. Ashley, that is. I mean, how many people would cut off some guy’s dick for someone? Ashley’s a lucky guy to have someone who loves him so much.”

When Jeremy felt the smile finally force its way onto his features, he turned his gaze away from her and let out a short, fake laugh. The smile had yet to fade away from his amused face and he decided to not fight it for the time being. There was a good reason as to why he was grinning now. Well, maybe the reason was just a bit fuzzy, but at least it wasn’t because he had some strange pride for the horrible, wretched act that she had committed against his gender. But she had done it out of love. Not that Jeremy found it to be any nobler. He had never been the type of guy that you would find trying to make someone pay for something. Sure he was an ass at times but he didn’t do things like that. He didn’t even really fight. He couldn’t remember a time he was involved in a physical fight. Probably never. He would be horrible at something like that with his skinny, little body. Jeremy wasn’t much of a bad boy.

The young man finally turned his eyes back in her direction and gave her a more amused grin, if that was possible. It was good to hear that she had no interest in castrating him at the moment. Now he would be a little more careful when he was trying to get on her nerves. Now he knew that she had no problem going to very drastic measures. Actually, he probably just had to make sure he was nice to her precious Ashley.

Despite the fact that he knew of Evie’s dangerous ways and despite the fact that he knew he should really try and not to piss her off, Jeremy still wanted to push his limits. He still wanted to try and get a little further than he really should. Overall, Jeremy still wanted to bother her. He still wanted to try and see how far he could push her.

“You wouldn’t want to do something like that to me even though I’m most of the things you dislike?” he asked her casually as he continued to stare over at her. Then he furrowed his brow a bit with some more obvious curiosity. “But maybe you just wouldn’t do something like that to me because of those stupid little things that we talked about earlier. You know something like… love.”

With that said, Jeremy dared to once again take a risk with her. Even though she had gone on about how inappropriate it was earlier, Jeremy still decided to fill that empty space between them and dip his head to the side in a rather lazy attempt to catch her lips to meet his own. Thankfully he managed to find them on a first try and just had to make sure he placed his hands on the ground in front of him so that he wouldn’t fall. It wasn’t difficult to relax either. Mostly because he did it to bother her. And he liked it. He really liked to kiss Evie. It was always so… unpredictable to him. He was never quite sure what she was going to do to him. Either way, this must have been proof to how kissable she was. Or maybe he was just afraid of her and it gave him some kind of sick thrill.

Every porcupine had a soft spot on them. Hers was just a little harder to find.

((Aaaaaawwww.... That's so cute 'every porcupine has a soft spot... Anyway, sorry I haven't replied in so long. I lost the site. My brother wiped the computer and my bookmarks with it))

Evie glared at him for a long moment before replying. "I suppose you could say that. Love Ashley, I mean. But I suppose you would love the only person around your age who ever spoke to you. I mean before I became a total bitch." She grinned lopsidedly, shaking her head and looking back out at nothing again.

She was confronted by words that she loathed to hear from other people. He seemed to be sprouting them recently. It was enough to make her sick. She was again glaring, her lips set into a semi-pout. Her blue eyes were cold. She opened her lips and was about to retort or say something quite mean when every single thought in her head committed suicide by jumping out through her ears.

Jeremy Clark was kissing her. Again. Oh how come he had to do that? She brought her hands up to his chest and was about to push him away when she found she couldn't. He body seemed to have lost all power. Her brain was rebooting as she sat there quite dumbly, her hands half way to Jeremy's chest. When her brain worked again it was not for her. Because she closed her eyes and kissed him back. She wondered if he realized if he new just how good at this he was.

She pulled away first. She glared at him. "Ass hole." She mumbled. "Stop doing that," she ordered though it was hardly convincing to her own two ears.
